Lonneke Sloetjes was born in Netherlands, Wisch on the 15th November 1990. 192 cm tall opposite Lonneke is 322 cm spike and 315 cm block height.
Sloetjes started her professional career in 2006 with Dutch team Lichtenvoorde. Between 2009-2011 she played for another Dutch team Heutink Pollux. In 2011 Sloetjes signed for German team USC Münster and after one season she moved to Unendo Yamamay Busto Arsizio. After one year in Italy she head back to Germany and played for Schweriner.
She signed to VakıfBank in 2015-2016 season and in her first season she achieved one Champions League Silver and Turkish League title.
Lonneke is also playing for Dutch National Team. With her national team she won a silver medal in 2015 European Championship, a bronze medal in 2016 FIVB World Grand Prix and semi final in 2016 Rio Olympic Games, gold medal in CEV Champions League in 2017.
