The Istanbul-based club still dominated their rivals on all fronts despite the absence of their stars Zhu and Lonneke Sloetjes, who rested in the match. It gave coach Giovanni Guidetti the opportunity to field in his reserve players, which performed well on offence against the defence-driven Hisamitsu Springs to complete their sweep of their pool.
