VakifBank Istanbul went three-out-of-three in Pool A of the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship
Kobe, Japan, May 12, 2017 –
VakifBank Istanbul topped Pool A, following their 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-22) win over hosts Hisamitsu Springs in the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship Kobe 2017 at Green Arena Kobe on Friday.

Melis Durul stepped in for star
Zhu Ting and top scored VakifBank with 16 points, including 13 attacks, two blocks and ace. Her team-mate
Gozde Kirdar also chipped in 15 points, while eight others got involved in the scoring against the Japanese side.
Yukii Ishii led all scorers with 18 markers, while
Rika Nomoto added 14 points on a losing effort.

Lonneke Sloetjes, who rested in the match. It gave coach
Giovanni Guidetti the opportunity to field in his reserve players, which performed well on offence against the defence-driven Hisamitsu Springs to complete their sweep of their pool.
