Kobe, Japan, May 11, 2017 - The race for the title toughens after the second day of competition on Wednesday at the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship in Green Arena Kobe.


Vakifbank Istanbul danced to the sound of a secured slot in the semifinals.




Milena Rasic headed Vakifbank’s 19-point block party against Rexona-SESC on Wednesday.




Eczacibasi Vitra chalked their first win on Wednesday, despite the tough challenge of Osasco Voleibol Clube.




The Sao Paolo-based Brazilian club will try to punch their semis ticket on Friday,




Against Volero Zurich, who have saved themselves a seat in the semifinals.



The race continues with Rexona-SESC



against Dinamo Moscow during Friday’s first match.



The Final Four will be defined on Friday, with matches to be streamed live (to select countries and territories) via the FIVB YouTube Channel.











And while some honoured previous colleagues,



some are sorely missing the team from far away,



and some look ahead to the future of fused styles in the sport.
