Rhykliuk directs Volero Zurich's sweep of Pool B

 

Volero Zurich completed their sweep of Pool B after they defeated Osasco Voleibol Clube in straight sets

Kobe, Japan, May 12, 2017 – Volero Zurich star Olesia Rhykliuk charted 12 points to help Volero Zurich’s sweep of their matches in Pool B, following their straight-set (27-25, 25-22, 25-18) win over Osasco Voleibol Clube in the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship at Green Arena Kobe on Friday.

Rhykliuk had sufficient influence on the Volero Zurich offence with nine attacks and defence with three stuff blocks. Her team-mate Kenia Carcaces Opon delivered a powerful performance, scoring all of her 11 points from the attack line.

Osasco Voleibol Clube had a good start but could not maintain it down the stretch, as Carcaces unleashed back-to-back hits to win the first set at 27-25. Volero Zurich mounted tough net defence that limited the opposing side’s options on attack, which allowed the Swiss club to claim victories in the succeeding sets.
