Kobe, Japan, May 13, 2017 –
Tandara Caixeta had excellent firepower from the three-metre line to lead
Osasco Voleibol Clube in their 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-21) win over host club Hisamitsu Springs in the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship at Green Arena Kobe on Saturday.

Hisamitsu Springs relied on
Rika Nomoto, who had a team-high of 12 points, then
Yuki Ishii added 11 points.
Osasco Voleibol had many options on offence and defence, while the Hisamitsu Springs missed Risa Shinnabe's absence with only Rika Nomoto and Yuki Ishii teaming-up on offence
Osasco Voleibol Clube managed to contain Hisamitsu, as the players fought hard in each play. Nomoto and Ishii had to step up as Risa Shinnabe suffered an injury in their game against VakifBank on Friday. The two Japanese players helped their team stay within striking distance, but Dani Lins’ knack for fancy combination and power plays for Osasco worked well in the first two sets. Hisamitsu got the lead in the third frame then lost momentum in the end, allowing Osasco to secure the straight-set win.
