Turkish coach Ferhat Akbas will embark on a new journey in Japan as assistant coach to volleyball legend Kumi Nakada

Kobe, Japan, May 10, 2017 – Japan’s new assistant coach Ferhat Akbas foresees fusion of distinct styles when their national team season starts this month.

Akbas attended the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship Kobe 2017 with coach Kumi Nakada to observe during the competition, which is highlighted by the best international stars representing the world’s elite club teams.

Nakada and Akbas are two of the brightest minds that will steer the Japan women’s team in the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix and all the way to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Their partnership will synergise into a unique blend of European flavour and the patented style of play in Japan.
