Kobe, Japan, May 10, 2017 – Tijana Boskovic produced her second straight 17-pointer, vindicating Eczacibasi VitrA Instanbul’s loss to Volero Zurich on Tuesday to a 3-1 (25-21, 20-25, 25-16, 25-13) triumph over Osasco Voleibol Clube in Pool B of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship at Green Arena Kobe on Wednesday.
Boskovic’s 17 points were built on 12 spikes, two blocks and three aces to command Eczacibasi’s offensive frontline, which had four more players scoring in double-figures.
Serbian reinforcement Ana Bjelica top scored for Osasco Voleibol Clube with 16 markers.
Eczacibasi limited the turnovers to 15 against Osasco Voleibol Clube in the four-setter, which helped the team to bounce back from their error-laden loss on opening day.
