Dinamo Moscow survives 18-16 tiebreaker to beat Kazan

Lausanne, Switzerland, April 28, 2017 – Dinamo Moscow held their nerves in a dramatic tie-break finish, as they rallied from two sets down and prevailed over Dinamo Kazan 3-2 (21-25, 20-25, 25-21, 25-18, 18-16) in the 2017 Russian Super League finals on Friday.

Dinamo Moscow, which were recently named as the eighth and final team in the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship, now have a 2-1 win-loss edge in the best-of-five finals series against Kazan.

Dinamo Moscow lost the opening match to their rivals 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-18) on April 17, but made an offset in the second match 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-20) on April 18.

The 2016 Russian Super League champions are on the steady rise and will try to end the league’s finals series in Kazan on April 30.
