Dinamo Moscow and VakifBank Istanbul to open Women's Club World Championship as schedule is released

 

Dinamo Moscow is one of eight clubs preparing for the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship

Lausanne, Switzerland, May 9, 2017 - Reigning world champions Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul will take on Volero Zurich on day one of the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship in Kobe, Japan which will take place from May 9 to 14. The day will start with an encounter between Dinamo Moscow and VakifBank Istanbul.

Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul will play Osasco Voleibol Clube of Brazil on the following day before completing their run in Pool B against NEC Red Rockets two days later.

Split into two pools, the eight teams participating in the 2017 edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship are hosts Hisamitsu Springs Saga, Dinamo Moscow, Rexona-Sesc and VakifBank Istanbul in Pool A and 2016 winners Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul, NEC Red Rockets, Osasco Voleibol Clube and Volero Zurich in Pool B.

The competition's pool phase will take place over the three days (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, May 9, 10 and 12) before the classification and finals matches take place on Saturday and Sunday (May 13 and 14).
