Ana Beatriz, Tandara in tandem for Osasco Voleibol Clube’s straight-set win

 

Ana Beatriz Correa topped all scorers with 16 points that helped Osasco Voleibol Clube record their straight-set win in the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship Kobe 2017

Kobe, Japan, May 9, 2017 – Ana Beatriz Correa and Tandara Caixeta worked in tandem to record Osasco Voleibol Clube’s 3-0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-19) victory over NEC Red Rockets in Pool B of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship at Green Arena Kobe on Tuesday.



Ana Beatriz and Tandara combined for 30 points to spearhead the Osasco victory. Ana Beatriz an all-around performance offensively with eight spikes, four blocks and four aces, while Tandara was fierce from the attack line with 10 attack points, three blocks and an ace.

The Sao Paulo-based club led on all fronts against Kanagawa-based NEC Red Rockets with 38-26 kills, 9-3 stuff blocks and 10-2 service winners.



Osasco had a strong start in the first set that stunned the Asian champions 25-11. NEC Red Rockets got their rhythm in the succeeding sets but it was not enough to overcome their much taller opponents. Osasco showed flair in their game that led to convincing wins in the second set at 25-17 and third set at 25-19.
